During the period of 1986-2022 (36 years), a total of 3.40 million people (34 lakhs 5 thousand 295) have received eye health care services (OPD services) through the Eye Health Program-Rapti & Bahadurgunj. Among these numbers, 488,211 (four lakh eighty eight thousand two hundred eleven) received free eye care (OPD service) service.<\/p>\n

A total of 212,613 (2 lakh 12 thousand 613) cataract surgeries were performed during this 36-year period. Among these numbers, 41,127 surgeries were performed in free surgical eye camps.<\/p>\n

From 1986 to 2020 (34 years), 2,984,294 have got eye care service (OPD service) by Eye Health Program-Rapti & Bahadurgunj. Out of these numbers, 436,094 have got free eye care service (OPD service)<\/p>\n

During this 34 years period, 188,491 have got new vision after cataract surgery. Out of these numbers, 36,828 surgeries are free in eye camp.<\/p>\n

PREVELANCE OF BLINDNESS IN RAPTI (OUT COMES) <\/strong><\/p>\n

The prevalence of blindness in Rapti was 0.87% in 1980\/81, which is reduced to 0.13% in second survey of 2010. If we look at the distribution of blindness, Rapti Zone has 2nd<\/sup> less blindness Zone among other Zone.<\/p>\n
